What is the difference between channeled and non-channeled bags?
Channeled bags a special embossed patterned texture on one side, which creates small channels for the air to escape during the vacuum sealing process. This design is optimized for external clamp-style vacuum sealers which are commonly used for home vacuum sealing.
Non-channeled bags have a smooth surface. These flat bags are used with chamber vacuum sealers. These commercial sealers create a vacuum within the entire chamber, expelling the air around the bag and its contents, therefore these bags do not need channels for air extraction, as the commercial sealers do that job.
