Gusseted Poly Bags on Rolls

Side gusseted poly bags are designed to provide extra space and flexibility, making them suitable for packaging bulkier or irregularly shaped items. Unlike standard flat poly bags, gusseted bags feature gussets – extra panels of material on the sides, that expand when the bag is filled. This design allows the bag to accommodate a larger volume of goods and even stand upright when filled, improving product presentation and storage efficiency.

Gusseted LDPE plastic bags are a perfect way to package bulky and wide items. The bottom of the bag is fitted and the sides expand to fit the form shape of the contents being put inside of it.

These gusseted bags are packaged on rolls these and manufactured with a perforation between the bags for easy dispensing. Each roll ha a 3” core making them easy to store or hang from a roll dispenser. Pleated bags on rolls are ideal for hand loading product and the bags are always smooth because they aren't folded into boxes. Bag Construction

Our gusseted poly bags are produced from a performance blend of Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) that meets FDA/USDA specifications. They are manufactured with superior clarity and strength and maintain a durable bottom seal construction.

Recyclable and Reusable

The clear gusseted poly bags are reusable and #4 recyclable. It is useful to check with your local recycling center to see what types of poly bags they accept.

Endless Size and Thickness Options

With plenty of sizes to choose from, you'll find one for every situation. The sizes are listed width by depth by length and are outer dimensions. The depth is the gusset/pleat of the bag. The gusset/depth is the pleat at the sides of the bag that expand as wide as the middle dimension states. We always recommend going with a bag slightly larger than the product to ensure a comfortable fit. Please note bag tolerances are +/- 1/4" on size, and +/- 10% on thickness.

How to seal a gusseted poly bag:

There are many ways you can seal a poly bag, here are some of the most popular methods of sealing an open ended plastic bag:

• Heat Seal: Using an impulse heat sealer you can seal the bag creating an airtight seal. Heat sealers melt the plastic edges together for a strong professional seal. This also renders the bag tamper evident and it is clear when the bag has been ripped or cut open.
• Bag tape: Tape sealers machines use tape to close the bag. They offer a quick and easy closure, but the seal may not be as strong or airtight as a heat seal
• Staples: Bags are sometimes stapled shut, this is more commonly used when adding a cardboard header indicating what is packed inside the bag and then being stapled to the bag to seal and shut it.

Our clear, gusseted poly bags are mono-layer extruded and made of a performance blend of virgin low density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene. They meet all USDA and FDA requirements and are BPA free, making them safe for food use. Additionally, our bags are ROHS and REACH compliant and comply with California Proposition 65 and all applicable CONEG heavy metal restrictions.

Heat Sealable

Our bags are heat sealable and easy to seal with an impulse sealer. Please follow the following guidelines from sealing temperatures based on bag thickness:

• 1-4 Mil: Temperature should be set between 230-250 degrees Fahrenheit and hold for .2-1.2 seconds, with a pressure of 300-350 PSI
